And if you're going to spend any time with them, you want to be comfortable. Dictation apps learn your voice and speech patterns over time. Though dictation software is pretty good at recognizing different voices, it's not perfect. Here are some tips to make it work as best as possible. Tips for using voice recognition software All the picks here support a decent (or impressive) number of languages. Accuracy was the first quality I looked for when deciding which software to choose. That's not to say you shouldn't try to enunciate your words (you should), but the best dictation software can usually correctly roll with the minor flubs and stumbles of everyday speech. Software that accurately captures your speech inspires confidence, letting you focus on what you say and less on how you say it. Whether sending a text message or dictating your TPS report, getting your words right should be the highest priority. How to Use Sun Valley Maple Tree in the LandscapeĪs previously mentioned, the Sun Valley Maple Tree's foliage grows very dense, which makes it a great potential shade tree in spring and summer. Have no fear of cleanup, however, as the large size of these leaves makes for easy raking.Īdd a Sun Valley Maple Tree to your yard and spruce up your fall colors. The Sun Valley Maple produces two-winged samara, which helps the seeds travel in the wind as they fall.Īs with most maples, the foliage of the Sun Valley Maple boasts broad, five-pointed leaves that fall in droves as fall starts to come to a close. Instead of producing fruit, maple trees like this produce a propeller-like seed pod called a samara. This deciduous tree produces male flowers ready to contribute pollen throughout the season, but you won't find any average fruit growing from your maple tree. The early spring also brings flowers to the branches of the Sun Valley Maple. Due to the successful crossing of its parent trees, the Sun Valley Maple has also developed a remarkable resistance to potato leafhoppers and other similar insect varieties. This plant's creation was inspired by the rich colors and pest resistance of its crossed parents. This minimizes the need for pruning and adds to the attractiveness of this fine maple variety. In addition to high growth potential, the Sun Valley Maple Tree has the added convenience of naturally growing compact foliage. At peak health and nutrients this type of tree can sometimes grow over 2 feet a year! This particular maple variety grows surprisingly fast as well. These persistent shades last for over two weeks before completely shedding for the season. This showy sapling was produced by crossing the 'Red Sunset' and 'Autumn Flame' maple trees in the 1980s.Ĭapable of growing dozens of feet tall, this maple tree is known for its dense oval canopy and broad orange red foliage later in the year. This is the problem that your company manages to fade out, making their lives better do not necessarily state exactly how you do it, rather just let readers peek behind the scenes. “We” empathise with the readers, and “you” find yourself front and center into the company’s presentation. The “we” and “you” need to become one and the same referral. Or, if you want to make improvements to your existing about us page, the information below should help you get the most out of it. This subchapter is intended to help you complete the creation of your website with a thoroughly designed about us page. About Us – What Information to Integrate in the Page In the latter case, the about page contributes to gaining trust, and pushing clients forward into the buying cycle. That being said, do all companies need a strong about us page? Chances are few people visit the about us page of, but a lot more visit the about us page of a lesser known company, such as a web design agency. According to studies, consumers were 86% more likely to choose companies with a higher decision simplicity score. It plays a role in simplifying the decision making. An about us page has the potential to not only attract users, but even to convert them to clients/customers. It’s like that because they play a certain role within a website, a role that’s often underestimated. They are needed in the set of pages that make up a website, as a piece we cannot do without. Let’s say the truth: about us pages are necessary, even if sometimes overlooked. Most of the weapons are found over the course of the game, but some are kept locked up in a shop, bought with clumps of ore hidden throughout the levels. Also the pistol is surprisingly good it’s capable of single shot and burst fire modes, lets you aim down the sights and does pretty decent damage, making it useful for up to medium range all the way to the end of the game. The guns feel weighty and satisfying to use, particularly the shotgun (which is always important in an FPS) and the plasma rifle, which I quickly fell back on as a favourite. The weapons mimic some of Doom’s, namely the shotgun, chaingun and plasma rifle, but ups the ante with alternate firing modes and a super shotgun with twice as many barrels as the iconic Doom version. Personally I don’t have a problem with this, partly because the whole game is obviously an homage, but primarily because while they aren’t as interesting to look at, it’s clear at a glance what every enemy in the game is and, once you’ve fought them already, how to deal with them. The last level even features what seemed a lot like three cyberdemons, and one of the minibosses reminded me of the Makyr from Doom Eternal. The Doom influence is most clear in its enemy design, which has a lot of crossover armed and unarmed zombies, pinkies, imps, cacodemons, pain elementals and lost souls they’re all here. It makes one major change in that it includes reload animations as an extra layer of challenge in that they need to be timed during combat lest you leave yourself vulnerable. It has free aim, but has a similar impact, heft and splatter to its combat. So I said it takes a lot of inspiration from one old-school shooter in particular, and that’s Doom. Still, as an excuse to travel across multiple alien dimensions shooting things into paste, it works well enough. The Xbone version does still say it’s in Game Preview, but the game is out, and as far as I know that label no longer applies and the version I played is the full release. Unfortunately this approach to plot means the game ends suddenly and anticlimactically with a text box. It takes you through a variety of locales, most interestingly a huge acid processing plant, a space station and a sprint across a row of platforms on the surface of the ocean, often accompanied by pounding rain. Rebuilt as a cyborg killing machine called The Vessel, you decide to interrupt an on-going war between the forces of “Chaos” and “Prodeus” by jumping into the middle of it and slaughtering them all with heavy weaponry. You are an unnamed person who crash lands in an alien dimension and is killed by a security system when it detects an “Organic”. As you might imagine from a game with that description, its story is really just an excuse to shoot things. It’s touted as an old-school FPS that takes advantage of modern graphical technology, and it clearly has one old-school FPS in particular on its mind, but more on that in a minute. Anyway it turned out to be on Gamepass, so I thought I’d check it out. “James,” you cry, “surely that’s PowerWash Simulator?” Oh my sweet summer child, they mean wet with blood! Gallons of the stuff, give them all that they can drink and it will never be enough. ProDeus caught my eye when I saw it referred to as “The wettest FPS”. I am starting with one that is fairly well known as far as fan translated games go, but future entries may be a bit more obscure (or they might not be, depends what I’m feeling). Otherwise, there are a fuck ton of NES era JRPGs that were never originally released outside of Japan that are now available to English speaking audiences, and this series is meant to introduce you to them. There were some cult hits such as Faxanadu, Crystalis, Ys, and Willow, but the rest seem to have been largely forgotten by all but the most dedicated JRPG fans (meaning that I could name them of course).ĭue to this, our pool of 8 bit era JRPGs is pretty limited, or at least it is if you don’t count fan translated games. I could go into detail, but I’ll just put it this way can you even name an NES era JRPG that was released outside of Japan at the time aside from Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Zelda II, or Phantasy Star? Sure, I can, but that’s because I have actively looked for them. Oh, and if you were in Europe then you likely never got ANY of these games.Ĭompared to the prior generation however, JRPGs were practically thriving in the 16 bit era. The fact that games like Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy IV & VI, and Super Mario RPG had such strong scripts regardless really shows a testament to his ability, which allows me to cut him some slack for how bad Breath of Fire’s was (and also because Capcom themselves did a much worse with Breath of Fire II). A majority of games localized by Ted Woolsey, for instance, were handled within a month and had to cut several sentences down. JRPGs retailed for up to $80 at the time without adjusting for inflation, and publishers often could not afford quality localization teams. Until Final Fantasy VII popularized the genre with its cinematic CG cutscenes and enormous marketing budget (not that the game had no merits in story or gameplay, but plenty of other games did to), even the most popular JRPGs in Japan were a niche attraction in the west. Hell, you may not even know of many DURING the 16 bit era either. If you live outside of Japan, you likely don’t know of many JRPGs prior to the 16 bit era. GalaxyTrail put tons of time and effort into the hub areas, NPCs, world map, and cutscenes so can you really blame them for wanting players to experience that first and foremost? I get that people don't like it but I think players should give it a chance. Of course, gameplay always matters more but I'm just saying, it helps makes games intriguing. so I do think giving players the choice might be valuable. I still think my preference stands and I do think some players will just ignore the content or find mods around it regardless. I do really respect that work - the story and cutscenes were something I really enjoyed in a couple of my playthroughs of Freedom Planet 1. His appearance on the show led to a Dengar minifigure being included in Naare’s Eclipse fighter. In the show, Dengar was employed by Graballa the Hutt to track down the Freemaker family. Employees at LEGO are clearly big fans of Dengar as the character would become a key character in LEGO Star Wars the Freemaker Adventures. An updated version of the minifigure would later appear in the UCS Super Star Destroyer that was released in 2011. LEGO first released a Dengar minifigure in the 2006 Slave 1 set. In the series he was voiced by the multi-talented Simon Pegg, an actor who would later go on to play Unkar Plutt in the Force Awakens. As well as appearing in movies, Dengar had a limited role in the Clone Wars.
